When Manta sold, the Mondriaans decided that the best way to build and repair boats the right way was to do it their way and Mondriaan Marine LLC was born.  The difficult to pronounce Dutch name and heritage led to the working moniker of Mondo and the company’s signature orange shirts.  While Mondo Marine Services will work on pretty much any pleasure craft, the real experience and focus is on catamarans.  This experience led to one of the company’s first really big jobs, the completion of the sail cat Restless, a Fusion 40 kit boat that had stalled out mid build for owners Jim and Carolyn Noland.  While it is never easy to complete a project started elsewhere, “Restless” is a beautiful boat that Mondo is very proud of having had a hand in creating.

The Nolands and their boat were the starting point of Mondriaan Marine becoming agent and builder for the Fusion line in the USA and North America, with power cat “Toes in the Water” recently delivered to her owners the Bijous and sail cat “XYZZY” under construction for Deb and Dennis Jansma.  As a platform the Fusion 40 delivers great looks and handling while allowing owners many options normally found only in a full custom build with matching custom price tag.  Mondriaan Marine is proud to represent this line and has developed custom modifications inside and out to suit the American market. These are now available to clients that have not been able to find a catamaran that fits their wants and needs until they discover the Fusion.
