Mondo Marine Services was asked to design and build a cockpit table for a 34’ PDQ Powercat. The client was looking for something that was low maintenance and looked like it came from the factory.

Our first step was to look at the location and the space we had available for this custom boat fabrication job. With this information in hand we took measurements and drew up a design drawn for approval by the client. The table is built out of ¾” high density foam board to add to strength as well as to keep it light weight.

With the foam cut and shaped we are ready to add the fiberglass to the top of the table that will add real strength to our custom cockpit table.

On the bottom of the table, aluminum boat strakes were added to add additional support in case someone leaned too hard and also to give us a sturdy place to attach the stainless pedestal to. Once the fiberglass was dry the entire table is sanded and faired before gel coat is sprayed both top and bottom. Once again the table is sanded and then buffed for a beautiful looking finished product.

The result is a custom boat fabrication that looks as though it came right from the factory.
